What started as an effort to preserve history became a summertime go-to in Detroit Lakes, MN. The Hotel Shoreham first opened in 1910. Fast forward 100 years and the hotel was on the brink. New ownership renovated the building without diluting any of its charms. No longer a hotel, the restaurant perfectly balances the upscale while remaining down to earth. This reflects in the menu where guests can order an 8 oz. fillet and shrimp cocktail or a pizza and nachos. That balance also carries over into the atmosphere with a gorgeous patio on the outside and dollar bills stapled to the ceiling of the bar on the inside.
